Job Description

We are seeking to hire a qualified, dedicated and driven candidate for the position of Head of Risk, Ethics & Compliance. This position will be based in Accra and will work alongside and report to the Chief Executive Officer. In this key role, you will lead the Risk, Ethics and Compliance function and be responsible for providing high level strategic direction to senior management on risk related matters as well as holding the ethical integrity of the company and ensuring that business operations are compliant with all legal requirements and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Championing Compliance & Innovation as a culture in the organization.
  • Responsible for making sure that the Company and its employees comply with the regulations of the Fintech industry and all internal policies.
  • Accountable for ensuring all the essential policies and guidelines are put in place in accordance with Fintech industry standards.
  • Design and update risk and compliance plans.
  • Monitor, identify and report any and all risks to the company on a periodic basis.
  • Create and oversee control systems, constantly improving and revising them.
  • Conduct internal audits and reviews at regular intervals to ensure that compliance procedures are regularly followed.
  • Inform, educate and train employees on matters associated with regulations and industry practices.
  • Advise, strategize and update management on company risk and compliance programs.
  • Revise rules, reports and procedures at regular intervals to recognize company risks.
  • Stay up to date with regulations and industry practices.
  • Prepare reports for stakeholders and with relevant regulatory agencies.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree holder in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Law, Accounting or in other related field.
  • 3-5years experience in compliance, risk management, internal audit.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi task in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Risk assessment capabilities.
  • Computer proficiency and organizational skills.
